Section Description

This course provides an introduction to the field of forensic anthropology, an applied
area of biological anthropology that focuses on the broader scope of human biology,
problems of medico-legal significance, and the cause of death from skeletonized human
remains. Anthropology is, quite literally, the study of what it means to be human. Specifically, anthropologists raise questions about the human condition – our origins, development, behavioral patterns, thought systems, variations, and commonalities.
