About PH 6506 OL1

Health policy is one of the most effective, yet controversial, parts of public health. The relationship between politics and public health is longstanding and complex. Students will review where the elements of politics, health, and public health intersect, and learn to think critically about how political factors influence health outcomes. Public health leadership requires skill in navigating the political environment, to successfully integrate scientific information and varied parties' interests in developing policies to improve health.
