Section Description
Stagecraft is an introductory course designed to present students with an overview of the physical support systems and processes involved in technical theater productions. Students will learn a basic overview of tools, equipment, and the basic techniques of multiple areas of technical theater, including scenery, costumes, lighting, and sound.
Section Expectation
Combination lecture and discussion. The class will involve multiple projects of individual and collaborative work. Students should expect to spend time on coursework outside of class, with the potential for extra time to meet with project collaborators.
Evaluation
Grades will be based on class attendance and participation, quizzes, projects, a midterm and final exam.
