Students will score short films using digital audio software. Emphasis is on 4-5 scoring projects, with additional background reading and written critiques. Prerequisites: MU 1770.

Section Description

Compose, produce, and synchronize professional-quality music for advertising, film, television, and video games using industry-standard production tools, including Logic Pro. Through hands-on projects, students develop skills in spotting, mapping, temp track analysis, arranging, layering, underscoring, and collaborative workflows while examining the business practices and economic realities of contemporary media scoring.

Prerequisites: MU 1770.
