On-site supervised work experience combined with a structured academic learning plan directed by a faculty member or a faculty-staff team in which a faculty member is the instructor of record, for which academic credit is awarded. Offered at department discretion.

Section Description

Students who successfully complete and present their proposals for the CALS Self Design Major program can register for this 1-credit experience.

Section Expectation

Students work with the CALS Self Design Major Program Director and their Academic Advisor to prepare a complete written proposal and deliver a presentation to the Faculty Review Committee.

Evaluation

Completion of the requirements of the CALS Self Design Major proposal process (a written proposal and presentation to the Faculty Review Committee).
