Section Description

The Watershed Alliance Teacher and Researcher (WATR) partnership, a professional learning opportunity for K-12 teachers across Vermont and the Lake Champlain Basin to participate in hands-on activities related to watershed science aboard the University of Vermont research vessel. Through this experiential course, K-12 teachers design water focuses curricula and pilot these lessons in their classrooms.

Section Expectation

Participants are expected to actively contribute to course discussions and activities. Participants are expected to complete journal reflections and create a project that incorporates their research focus that will be implemented in their classrooms. Participants are expected to attend all sessions unless arrangements are made in advance.

Evaluation

Students will be evaluated on their course participation, their journal reflections, and their culminating project.
