Introduction to the engineering profession and the engineering design process. Hands-on experiences that emphasize interdisciplinary teamwork, seeking and defining problems, and developing, fabricating and/or testing solutions. Data analysis and technical communications.

Section Description

This section is open only to EHS students taking "Designing Solutions" for dual enrollment credit. The course focuses on engineering skills and practice, and it includes a series of short-term, team and individual engineering challenges, plus one long-term, individual capstone project.

Section Expectation

Students will complete all of the short-term projects. Participation in some projects can be reduced to allow for greater focus on the capstone project -- subject to teacher discretion.

Evaluation

Grades are determined by: EHS quarter Grading (60%), EHS Midterm Grading (10%), Capstone Project (30%).
