This course is meant to complement and support the work you are doing in other classes. For example using the Test Preparation steps to help you prepare for a test or quiz in one of your classes, or the Writing strategy to apply to a writing assignment for another class.

Section Expectation

The structure of this course is based on the academic needs relevant to the period of the semester. Each week specific assignments will be given, and you will be asked to complete the assignment, submit the evidence, and discuss the topics posted for each week in Yellowdig. Discussions are where you can solidify your understanding, or clarify, or ask questions, or celebrate success within our classroom community. Additionally there will be a weekly Q&A opportunity where this community of students will submit questions about things that may not have been answered the video tutorials and assignments, but also about academic, professional, or life-balance questions. The course load is bigger in the beginning of the semester as students are learning and applying the new skills, and the second half of the semester focuses on applying the skills as relevant for preparing for the completion of classes in order to finish the semester successfully.
