Supports students as they integrate relevant knowledge from their academic Integrative Health and Wellness Coaching studies through a practical learning opportunity. Through classroom and practicum experiences, students will have the opportunity to build upon their learning as an emerging health and wellness coach. Prerequisites: HLTH 3860.

Section Description

This Practicum course supports students as they integrate relevant knowledge from their academic Integrative Health and Wellness Coaching studies through a practical learning opportunity. Through classroom and practicum field experiences, students will have the opportunity to build upon their learning as an emerging Health and Wellness Coach. Prerequisites: HLTH 3860. A variety of clinical sites and populations are available with direct mentoring provided by board certified Health and Wellness Coaches. These include: Employee Wellness, Patrick Leahy Honors College, Center for Health and Wellbeing, Neurodiverse individuals and care givers, UVMMC Comprehensive Pain Program, as well as additional experiences

Section Expectation

All students enrolled will be expected to attend 3 virtual class sessions; The first two weeks of the semester and one during the last week of classes/exam week

Evaluation

Mid semester and End semester self and Preceptor assessments, Final presentation and documentation throughout the course
