About PEAC 1100 A

Explores the chakras, yogic anatomy, and a comprehensive yoga practice to increase awareness and foster overall health and well-being. Practice will include Hatha and Kundalini Yoga to include asanas, pranayama, bhandas, mantra, and meditation.

Section Description

I want you to look at this class as a vacation from the rest of life. I hope you’ll allow yourself time to reset the day, connect to your body, and calm your mind. I want us to have fun together exploring and learning from each other about the chakra system. You should leave each class with a deeper understanding of yourself, and feel empowered to be more and more the person you want to be.

Section Expectation

Expectations are that you participate with curiosity, partake in lively discussions, have humor, and be open to trying out was is presented. You are also expected to keep a journal, do the practices in class, and spend time outside of classes learning more about what we focus on each class. You’ll need to bring a yoga mat and well as dress in clothes appropriate for a yoga practice.

Evaluation

Evaluation is on your attendance and and your participate the classroom activities. We will also have homework/journaling assignments to practice what we do in class, which in general would take around 20 minutes/day.
