Vector-valued functions. Calculus of functions of several variables: partial derivatives, gradient, divergence, curl, multiple integrals, line integrals, Stokes' and Green's theorems. Prerequisite: C- or better in MATH 1248 or MATH 1242.

Section Description
Math 2248A. This is four credit course in multi variable and vector calculus. It is necessary course for math, physical sciences, engineering, statistics and computer science. The first half of the course focuses on differential calculus and the second half focuses on integral calculus. The last chapter on vector calculus is the culmination of the course and the entire calculus sequence. It is great mathematics, very important and to be candid; somewhat difficult.
Section Expectation
You will be required to purchase a course account with Webassign as all graded work with be on Webassign through your laptop. There will be six tests, a final and homework after most classes. Class attendance is expected but not mandatory.
Evaluation
Your course grade will be a weighted average of your best five exams, (out of six), homework and the final exam.
