Course focuses on physiology of muscle adaptation following resistance or aerobic training. Particular attention is paid to specificity of metabolic adaptation for individual sports.

Section Description
The purpose of this course is to introduce the student to the science and physiology behind strength training and conditioning, as well as the practical application of the training principles discussed. The course content involves lectures on muscle physiology, scientific readings on various topics within the field of strength and conditioning and ultimately the practical application of this knowledge. While a vast majority of the course is geared toward the training of athletes, all the acquired skills can be used for training general population clients of all ages and for the reconditioning of injured athletes.
