WFB 176 is a spring break travel course to Florida. The course emphasizes field experiences, visiting the major ecosystems of Florida: barrier island, slash pine flatwoods, sand hills with longleaf pine, south Florida flatwoods, coastal marsh, mangrove wetlands, cypress swamp, Everglades, tropical hardwood forests, and coral reefs. We spend the majority of each day in the field; we camp at state and national parks and cook most of our own meals.
