UVM’s summer beekeeping course will be available online in 2021!

Through this course, students will acquire the knowledge you need to begin this rewarding hobby. Topics will include honey bee biology, integrated pest management techniques, how to test for hygienic behavior in bees and queen grafting/rearing! Students will get up close and personal to UVM’s 30 production hives through video demonstrations recorded at the UVM horticulture farm. There will also be remote opportunities to learn alongside the best beekeepers in our community. Students are encouraged to attend a weekly online discussion Thursdays 4:25-5:25, but the instructor can make other arrangements if you’re unable to attend at that time.
