Yes! The course is 100% online and can be taken anywhere.
Does the tuition rate differ if I am an out-of-state or international student?
The tuition rate is set at $950 for all students and does not differ based on a student’s residency.
Are materials included? If yes, will they all be housed on the online site?
Yes, all course materials are included in the price and materials can be accessed through the online platform Blackboard.
What is the payment policy for this program?
Course enrollments are limited to 20 students. To reserve your seat, you have the option of paying in full by credit card, or by making a minimum payment of $500 at registration. Note that the balance must be paid two weeks prior to the start of this offering and you will receive email reminders if you have a balance due. We do not offer payment plans for this program.

Can I use VA Benefits, military tuition assistance, GI Bill, or VA Fry grant to pay for this certification?
No, this course has not been certified for VA benefits. Only the Digital Marketing Fundamentals Certificate Program has been approved for VA benefits. None of the Digital Marketing 4-week courses are certified for VA benefits.
What is the refund policy for this program?
If you need to cancel your attendance from this offering, you must notify us via email at email@example.com at least three business days prior to the start date of the program to receive a full refund, less a $25 cancellation fee. If a medical condition necessitates cancellation/withdrawal (documentation provided), this will be reviewed by our Studies Committee for any type of refund.
How will I be graded?
You will be assessed on your participation in the discussion boards, completion of assignments, and comprehension of the course material. Students must successfully participate in 70% of the program in order to receive an electronic Certificate of Completion. Because this is a non-credit program, there is no transcript.
If my organization doesn’t use Hubspot, will this course be relevant to me?
Yes, our partnership with Hubspot is about skills, best practices and understanding surrounding social media marketing. This course helps cover more generic tools such as platform management, client management, and social media platforms.
When I’ve finished with this course, will I have a portfolio of work to share with a potential employer?
The weekly assignments can definitely be compiled into a portfolio. In addition, the Hubspot certification you will be prepared take upon completion will be a great thing to show hiring managers, bosses, and other departments.
If I have not yet completed the Digital Marketing Fundamentals Certificate, should I still take this course?
It is not a requirement to complete the Digital Marketing Fundamentals Certificate prior to taking this course. If you have something going on at work, such as an incoming social media project, this could be a way for you to level-up. If you are already in or going to be in a social media marketing role, this course would be a better fit for you than the Digital Marketing Fundamentals course. The Digital Marketing Fundamentals Certificate is a higher level overview across all of the digital marketing channels, which are frequently integrated together.
How will this course help a small business owner establish or reshape a social media presence?
This course will give you much more than a know-how to set up your social media presence and optimize social media imagery. We start there, but then we go in deep on strategizing, planning, understanding tools, ad budget, social media advertising, and understanding success and return.
What is the weekly workload for this?
We are estimating 4-6 hours. However, people vary their level of involvement in the course. We anticipate a smaller demand week to week then the Digital Marketing Fundamentals Certificate.
Is there a required weekly class time?
Since this is asynchronous and 100% online, you can work at your own pace.
Some other courses call themselves “digital marketing.” Is that basically the same thing as Social Media marketing?
Digital marketing is sort of the broad umbrella. Digital marketing is taking your brand product/services to online channels (website, mobile app, email, etc.). Under digital marketing there is social media marketing, which is its own set of channels and tactics. Social media takes into account the paid, earned, and owned side. This course covers all three sides in depth.
