About HLTH 2531 Z2

In preparation to become an Emergency Medical Technician, practice and demonstrate competency in psychomotor skills, as required by the objectives of the National EMS Blueprint for Education. Attend Clinical Simulation events to demonstrate ability to lead a team, display critical thinking, and participate in skill-based activities as a culmination of the psychomotor skills. Prerequisite: Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR. Co-requisite: HLTH 2530. Pre/Co-requisite: HLTH 1030.

Section Description

HLTH 2531 is the skills competency/psychomotor requirement to prepare you to become an Emergency Medical Technician. The course covers all the objectives of the National EMS Blueprint for Education. Students must successfully complete all requirements prior to sitting for the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians licensure exam.

Section Expectation

This course is designed to practice and develop competency in skills learned in HLTH 2530. Attendance is required and students must successfully complete all skills competencies assigned. Students MUST co-register for HLTH 2530.
