Preparation to become an Emergency Medical Technician. Covers all of the objectives of the National EMS Blueprint for Education. Students must successfully complete all requirements prior to sitting for the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) exam. Prerequisites: Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS CPR). Co-requisite: HLTH 2531. Pre/Co-requisite: HLTH 1030.

Section Description

Preparation to become an Emergency Medical Technician. Covers all of the objectives of the National EMS Blueprint for Education. Students must successfully complete all requirements prior to sitting for the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians licensure exam.

Section Expectation

To be eligible for the NREMT Certification you are required to view all recorded lecture material, complete all assignments and exams, and attend and actively participate in all lab activities on the scheduled days/times listed in the comments. You MUST also register for HLTH 2531, which will be the psychomotor evaluation component of this course. It will be held in the hour before and after class each day, with extra time on Friday afternoons.
