Section Description
This course surveys the concepts, theories and debates that have shaped the interdisciplinary field of critical media studies. Critical media studies is principally concerned with the media’s relationship to forms of social, cultural, political and economic power. In grappling with such questions, scholars have drawn from and contributed to a range of theoretical frameworks and methodological approaches. This course is aimed to introduce you to these core theoretical frameworks and approaches.
