The primary function of these authentic texts will be to expand the awareness of the diverse identities that form part of the Hispanic World, as well as to allow a space for critical thinking in the target language.

Summarize and discuss texts using critical reflection and cultural references. 3. Demonstrate an ability to converse about social and cultural topics with ease and confidence. 4. Indicate a comprehension of Spanish in personal and social contexts through verbal and written responses. 5. Recognize and discuss some of the major historical events and cultural aspects of the Spanish-Speaking World.
