Examines key areas of financial decision making. With cases and problems, issues such as capital budgeting, leasing, mergers, and acquisitions examined. Prerequisites: BSAD 180; Business Administration major or minor; Minimum Junior standing.

This course focuses on corporate financial theory and practice with company and stock valuation as the background narrative. We will review the CAPM and cost of capital. We will study how capital structure theory and practice, dividend policy theory and practice, and sources of long-term financing are related to corporate value. We will also study how these ideas are used in discounted cash flow (DCF) valuation models.
