Digital illustration introduces methods of conceptualizing and executing illustrations to solve communication problems, using a range of techniques within vector and raster-based software applications. Prerequisite: CDAE 015, ARTS 002, or permission.

An introductory level, studio based course. Topics and coursework focus on the development and use of illustrative imagery in communication.
Typical format: hands on computer lab work using Adobe Illustrator CC and Photoshop CC, lecture and demonstration. Development of work outside of class is expected.
