About BSAD 060 C
Introduction to the accounting system and generally accepted accounting principles that govern income determination and financial position presentation. Credit will be granted for only one of BSAD 060 or BSAD 065. Prerequisites: EC 011 or EC 012 with a minimum grade of C-; MATH 019 or MATH 021 with a minimum grade of C-; Business Administration, Computer Science & Information Systems, Dietetics, Nutrition & Food Science, Engineering Management major, Business Administration, Accounting minor; minimum Sophomore standing.

Section Description
This course is intended to introduce you to various types of accounting information and the role this information plays in business decisions. This course emphasizes understanding accounting as the language of business with a particular emphasis on how business transactions affect financial statements which are used for decision making. You will obtain an understanding of the generally accepted accounting principles for preparation of financial statements. In addition, assignments and other activities are designed to improve your analytical and communication skills.

We spend a majority of our class time solving problems and applying knowledge. What this means is that you should come to class having read the text and watched the videos that are provided with the textbook.
