No prerequisites, standing or permission required.

Notes

Dates: July 18 - August 12, 2022

Section Description

This is a fiction writing workshop for writers of all levels; unlike the English 118 that runs in the regular year, there is no pre-req required.

Section Expectation

Students will write 15-20 pages of short fiction in the four weeks of the course. They will be expected to revise multiple times, and read the work of other students (plus some current short stories from the Best American series). There will be one mandatory Zoom class in real-time on Monday nights, from 6-8 pm.

Evaluation

Students will be evaluated on their final version(s) of the work produced, but also on whether and how much they respond to the work of others, both online and in our one weekly real-time session.
