This course introduces students to the organization, structures and functions of the human central nervous system. Higher cognitive and linguistic behaviors are emphasized. Prerequisite: Human Biology course such as one of the following: BIOL 003, BIOL 004, BCOR 11, BCOR 12, or ANPS 019.

Section Description

An introductory course focusing on a broad array of topics in cognitive neuroscience.

Section Expectation

This course is design to introduce you to the organization, structures, and functions of the human central nervous system, with an emphasis on higher cognitive and linguistic behavior. This course provides a broad introduction to cognitive neuroscience to meet the needs of 3rd & 4th year students in Communication Sciences and Disorders and other disciplines. This course is also appropriate for 1st year students in the undergraduate neuroscience program. Prerequisites: College level human biology course such as BIOL 004 or ANPS 119.
