Initial course in an Integrative Health and Wellness Coaching sequence. Introduces the practice of Integrative Health and Wellness Coaching with focus on experiential learning of integrative therapies for self-care as emerging healthcare providers and their future clients. Required for NBHWC Exam. Prerequisite: Minimum Sophomore standing or Instructor permission. Co-requisites: HLTH 188, HLTH 189.

Section Description
This is the initial course in the sequence of Integrative Health and Wellness Coaching courses. Students are immersed in an experiential learning of integrative therapies for self-care as emerging healthcare providers. Students will learn how these therapies benefit clients. Interspersed with wellness based activities will be introductory lessons to help students gain an understanding of the basic principles of Integrative Health & Wellness Coaching including coaching structure and process. This course is part of the required curriculum to prepare students to be eligible to sit for the National Board of Health & Wellness Coaching Certification Exam.
Section Expectation
This course takes place synchronously over a 2 day weekend at the beginning of the semester as well as asynchronous work before and after.
