Section Description

This course will examine the major films of Alfred Hitchcock from a theoretical perspective, primarily that of psychoanalysis. We will read some overviews of his life and works, as well as focused studies of specific works. We will see 39 Steps, Notorious, Saboteur, Rope, Shadow of a Doubt, Rear Window, Vertigo, North by Northwest, Psycho, The Birds, and others.
