About CE 001 C

Fundamentals of statics; composition and resolution of forces; the analysis of force systems in two and three dimensions; and centroids and moments of inertia. Prerequisites: MATH 022 or MATH 023; PHYS 031.

Prereqs enforced by the system: MATH 022 or 023 & PHYS 031; Open to degree and CDE students; No Electrical Engineering Students; Must co-enroll in L01

Section Description

Fundamentals of statics; composition and resolution of forces; the analysis of force systems in two and three dimensions; and centroids and moments of inertia.

Section Expectation

A mixed-mode class (combination of in-person and remote) during the pandemic. There is also a concurrent all-remote section of the course available for students not near campus. We use a required textbook. There is an optional recitation section weekly.

Evaluation

Two midterm exams and a final exam. Weekly homework assignments.
