Teaches the ways in which digital tools and multiple platforms have created a wide range of marketing options for organizations. Theoretical strategy, professional engagements, and hands-on practice will illustrate the strategic reasons for utilizing digital marketing and how to use the tools most effectively. Prerequisites: BSAD 150; Business Administration majors or minors; minimum Junior standing.

Section Description

In this fully online, asynchronous course, we will spend time together learning the fundamentals of digital marketing. We will practice email marketing and running search ad campaigns via the Stukent Mimic Pro Simulation and each student will work with a client of their choosing to conduct a digital audit and prepare a recommendations paper. Additionally students will take lessons from HubSpot Academy and achieve their Inbound Marketing Certification. Students will also be able to get the Digital Marketing Certification offered through Stukent.

Section Expectation

Please be prepared to engage quickly in this course as we kick off the simulation the first week and you being your project work the first week. Discussion participation is expected and we will use both Blackboard and Yellowdig.
