CDAE recognizes that professionals are a part of vibrant communities. With the goal of helping you successfully enter into a professional community, this CDAE course aims to build your communication competence and confidence in professional settings. You will learn to use persuasion theory to develop a resume, cover letter, and professional philosophy statement that reflects your unique professional brand. Students from all majors welcome. This course is 100% online and runs January 4-29.
This CDAE course will help you describe and design your professional brand. Your professional branding statement communicates the essence of who you are in the workplace. It reflects your professional reputation— what you're known for (or would like to be known for). You will learn how to use strategic marketing and personal branding techniques for designing, enhancing, and promoting your professional image. Specifically, you will develop a cover letter, resume, and elevator pitch. All required readings will be made available on Blackboard.
