This course is an introduction to basic Life Science concepts with a focus on human organ system function and the anatomical components which underlie these physiological processes. We emphasize normal homeostatic mechanisms and the changes that accompany common disorders and diseases. The course is predominantly for non-science majors and those whose particular field of study requires some foundational material pertaining to human health. An optional computer-based laboratory experience is available.
