Analyze the process for making personal financial decisions; develop personal financial goals in view of an individual's background and emotions related to money, debt, spending habits, risk taking etc.; assess economic factors that influence financial planning.


Open to all majors and all class standings; Required course specific fee of $25; Open to Degree and CDE students.

Section Description

The course is about how to accumulate financial assets, how to budget what you have, how to invest (and spend), how and when to borrow, and how to deal with the unexpected events in life (insurance and estate planning).

Students expected to read text and participate in class discussions.
