On-site supervised work experience combined with a structured academic learning plan directed by a faculty member or a faculty-staff team in which a faculty member is the instructor of record, for which academic credit is awarded. Total credit toward graduation in CDAE 196 and CDAE 296 cannot exceed 15 credits. Offered at department discretion.

To do an internship through the CDAE department and to receive credit for doing so, a student must: 1. Secure an internship; 2. Submit the CDAE 296 Internship Contract: https://www.uvm.edu/cals/cdae/forms/cdae-296-internship-contract; 3. You will receive an email confirmation when you have been granted permission to register for CDAE 296; 4. Register for CDAE 296 & indicate the amount of credits you plan to earn (45 hours of internship = 1 credit); 5. Start your internship during the summer term and receive academic credit. This is an online course that requires a weekly journal submission & a final evaluation of the experience.
