This is the summer section of Developing Curriculum for English Language Learners. This hybrid course aims to prepare students who intend to teach in a PreK-12 classroom environment/ESL setting by exploring language acquisition theories, instructional methods, and lesson planning and delivery for English language learners.
Students should expect to participate in both in-class and online activities and assessments. This small, intensive course relies on a high degree of peer interaction and feedback, so attendance and group contributions comprise a large portion of course expectations.
Students will be evaluated on submitted lesson plans, teaching presentations, written reflections, and a final exam.
