Kinematics and kinetics of particles and rigid bodies in two and three dimensions. Computer-aided analysis. Prerequisite: CE 001, MATH 121.
Dates: June 17 - July 12, 2019; Cross listed with ME 012 OL1; Students can take this course face-to-face or online
Newtonian dynamics (kinematics and kinetics) of particles, systems of particles, and rigid bodies including impulse-momentum and energy concepts.
By the end of the semester: 1. Understand fundamental principles and laws of dynamics (kinematics and kinetics) in two and three dimensions 2. Understand concepts of motion for particles, systems of particles, and rigid bodies 3. Apply this knowledge to various mechanical systems
