UVM’s MRI Physics for Technologists is an online program that will teach you the fundamentals of MRI physics in the curriculum for the ARRT certification exam in MRI. This unique program focuses on the practical application of physics principles for clinically-relevant situations, while also providing a foundation for later clinical work. You’ll develop additional skills through in-class discussion with your peers and your instructor, an MRI physicist with more than a decade of experience in the field.
For most people looking to become an MRI technologist, a clear career path hasn’t been available in terms of preparation. Historically, MRI technologists have been hired with no prior training and given on-the-job instruction. This can mean years of working as an x-ray technologist before having the chance to start a career as an MRI technologist. On-the-job training can also leave many gaps in knowledge, contributing to job dissatisfaction and poor performance.
Several aspects distinguish UVM’s MRI Physics for Technologists from other training options.
It is designed to provide you with plenty of opportunities to ask questions and fully master topics relevant to your success as an MRI technologist.
