Experts at Your Fingertips:
Ever wondered how resistance training would affect your health?  Have you pondered the right way to run or bike or swim for the best results?  Are you sure you should start an exercise program knowledgeable on preventing injury but don’t know who to ask?  What work out is right for your body type and desired results?  The Women’s Fitness answers these questions and more with the help of world renowned experts from UVM’s nutrition, exercise physiology, medical and fitness training faculty.  They will be available all week to help you figure out what’s best for you.  Additional local area experts in physical therapy, counseling, medicine and wellness will be on hand to discuss your needs.

Features of the Program:

  • Week long intensive, starting with a welcome reception on the evening of arrival.
  • Designed for women of all ages who are interested in weight loss and creating their own personal fitness plan.
  • Includes time for exercise including yoga, swimming, run/walking, and cycling. 
  • Lecture topics include managing medications, health issues with aging, improving bone health, and enhancing your mental health.
  • Field trips are included, such as a hike to Mount Philo and a trip to the Stowe bike path.
  • Program also includes free time if you choose to indulge in a massage, manicure or pedicure, nutritional functional foods meals each day and opportunities for socialization
