UVM once again joins forces with the Yestermorrow Design/Build School to offer one to three-credit courses in the sustainable design/build process. These courses are hands-on and intensive, and provide participants the opportunity to explore the process of designing and creating from a practical standpoint.
In order to enroll in a Yestermorrow course and receive UVM credit please follow the steps outlined here:
- At least two weeks before the course begins, call Monica DiGiovanni at Yestermorrow; Tel: 802-496-5545 to find out if there is space available in the course. If space is available and you wish to enroll, please give yestermorrow your contact information and pay a non-refundable registration fee of $100 for a one-credit course, $300 for a two-credit course, or $600 for a three-credit course to hold your space. You may also register for lodging and meals, etc., at this time, if necessary (http://yestermorrow.org/campus-housing/)
- Once your space in the course is confirmed by Yestermorrow, you may proceed with registration for UVM credit. Please go to this site to register (or to pre-register if this is your first time taking a course through UVM): http://www.uvm.edu/~summer.If you have any questions, please contact UVM’s Continuing Education via email learn@uvm.edu or call and ask for a Student Advisor: Tel: 802-656-2085 or toll free 1-800-639-3210. UVM will confirm your credit registration and you should be sure to let your instructor know that you are taking the class for credit and will need a grade upon completion.
- All tuition payments are processed through UVM with tuition and fee bills electronically to your UVM email address. You must activate and check your UVM email regularly or forward it to your preferred email account in order to pay your bill and avoid late fees. If you need a paper bill, please print your bill from the online billing system found at http://www.uvm.edu/studentlogin or call Student Financial Services at 802-656-5700 for assistance. Please visit http://www.uvm.edu/~stdfinsv/ for detailed information on how to pay your bill electronically and viewing your student account. All account balances must be paid prior to future course registration and to receive semester grades, transcripts and certificates. Bills not paid by the due date may incur a $200 late fee.Payments for food and lodging if needed will be processed directly through Yestermorrow and should be paid to Yestermorrow when you pay the initial non-refundable registration fee.
- Once you’ve officially registered through Yestermorrow and UVM, you will receive a Welcome Packet via email from Yestermorrow containing a class schedule, list of things to bring, directions how to get to our campus, and various forms that will need to be filled out.
Receiving Credit:
Please Note: Credits earned at UVM are transferable at the discretion of the receiving institution
- Be sure to let your instructor know that you are taking the class for credit and will need a grade upon completion.
- Within 72 hours of the end of the class, Yestermorrow will submit a Grade Report to the UVM Registrar and by the end of summer session your grade should be recorded in the UVM Student Information System which you may access using your UVM ID number and PIN.
