Financial Aid

Continuing and Distance Education students in a required course of study leading to a degree may be eligible for Stafford Loans. In addition, Vermont Student Assistance Corporation sponsors a non-degree grant program for eligible students. To learn about financial aid eligibility, including eligibility for federal loans, Vermont Non-Degree Grants, and payment options including payment plans and employer payment information, visit the Student Financial Services website.

Scholarships Offered Through UVM’s Continuing and Distance Education

Osher Foundation Reentry Scholarship Endowment:The Bernard Osher Foundation has made a generous endowment to the University of Vermont to provide scholarship support for students seeking their degree after a significant break in their studies. If you meet these criteria, we welcome your application for scholarship support. Awards are generally $2,000 for the academic year. More information on this scholarship is available through Student Financial Services.

Post-Baccaaureate Premed Program: Students enrolled in the Post-Baccaaureate Premed Program should visit that program’s financing page for tuition and financing information here.

Lufuno Tshikororo Scholarship: This scholarship was established in memory of Dr. Lufuno Tshikororo, who during her eight years as a student and administrator at UVM touched the lives of numerous students and colleagues. The scholarship is available to non-traditional, continuing education, non-degree students who are ready to accept a new challenge toward self-improvement and making a difference in the lives of others. Students must be planning to enroll in 3 credits or more. One $1,000 scholarship is available annually. Complete the online application by July 1 and the FAFSA by June 1.
