Clem Nilan, formerly general manager at the Onion River Co-op, has more than a decade of co-operative management experience. He is a life-long educator who taught for years at New England Culinary Institute (NECI).

Executive Director, Food Co-op Initiative

Stuart Reid is the executive director of Food Co-op Initiative, a non-profit organization providing technical assistance, information, and resources to groups organizing new retail food co-ops across the United States. The Food Co-op Initiative has assisted over 100 co-ops and is currently supporting 125 organizing efforts across the country. Stuart has been working in and for food co-ops since 1978 as a store manager, board member, wholesale buyer, trainer, and general cheerleader.
