Musical Theater Intensive with Bill Reed
Join Bill Reed and world class faculty members from the Circle in the Square Theater School in New York City, in this week-long professional training. Through this transformative immersion experience, you will enhance your vocal technique, release physical inhibitions, and access deeper parts of yourself, all combining to support your best performances ever.

Program Description
Students in this intensive workshop will work intensively in three areas:

  • vocal technique
  • physical acting
  • song interpretation

with the objective of building to personal breakthroughs that deepen performance abilities.

We offer opportunities for transformation, nurtured by world-class instructors from New York's Circle in the Square Theater School, in fabulous Burlington, Vermont.

Campus Experience
The summer campus at UVM has opportunities for outdoor and indoor activities, and social interactions with your colleagues. Housing and meals are provided in campus dorms and cafeterias, with easy access to classrooms and common areas, and open spaces.

Who Should Attend
The intensive nature of this course makes it ideal for people who LOVE to sing and perform, whether you are preparing for a career, or want to be involved in musical theater productions on a regional level.  Students are divided into groups by age [12-14, 15-17, 18+], enabling instructors to work intensively with all participants at the appropriate level.  The program is available to anyone at least 12 years of age by the program start date (June 21, 2009) and is open to teens as well as adults.  All students should have a strong interest in musical theater and basic vocal skills of matching pitch and carrying a tune. Experience in musical theater productions is helpful.
