The program combines the best of the University of Vermont: a breadth of offerings, research expertise and professional faculty with practical experience in the field.  Based on the five content areas outlined in the Healthcare Management Certificate Program Overview area of this website and listed below, the content is highly applicable to careers in healthcare.

The program combines core courses and related electives.  Students must complete a total of 18 credit hours in approved courses.  All courses are three credits unless otherwise noted.  The curriculum may be subject to changes based on student needs and ongoing changes in the field of healthcare.

Since the certificate can be completed in 12 or 24-months on a part-time basis, the following demonstrates each option:

12-Month Track Sample Curriculum:
Semester 1 – PA 325 Healthcare Policy and BSAD 295 Healthcare Management (6 credits)
Semester 2 – PA 307 Administrative Ethics and PA 308 Decision Making Models (6 credits)
Semester 3 – BSAD 345 Management Information Systems and Elective (6 credits)
