APPLICATION
Get started today. Interested applicants must have completed a bachelor’s degree and submit an application. Contact an advisor to discuss the application requirements. Start the certificate in the fall, spring or summer semesters.
Deadlines for application and registration:
Applications will be taken on a rolling basis after each semester’s deadline. Contact Continuing Education by calling an advisor at (800) 639-3210 or (802) 656-2085 to review your options.
FINANCIAL AID/EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE
Financial aid is available through the UVM Financial Aid office. Students have access to the Federal Stafford Loan program and a non-degree student grant offered by the Vermont Student Assistance Corporation. Interested applicants should also ask their employers about tuition reimbursement. Often, employers help their employees pay for college courses through a tuition reimbursement program. These programs are usually part of a benefits package and can cover a percentage of, or the entire tuition cost.
ADVISING SUPPORT
Continuing Education advisors and faculty from the appropriate disciplines are available to review application procedures, assist with course selection, and individual advising. Please contact Jennifer Lian or Polly Allen at 800.639.3210 or 802.656.2085.
TRANSFER CREDITS
Transfer of college credits for one course into the Graduate Certificate in Healthcare Management will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Requests must be made to the advisors and include a course syllabi. Courses in the Graduate Certificate in Healthcare Management may transfer into a UVM graduate program. Up to nine credits may transfer at the discretion of the UVM graduate program coordinator.
TUITION AND FEES
Tuition rates for the academic year are published online each semester. Follow the link for the “Continuing Education Cost of Attendance” on the Student Financial Services website for this semester’s rates. These tuition rates apply to the courses offered in the Graduate Certificate in Healthcare Management.
COMPLETION OF THE CERTIFICATE
Students are expected to complete the certificate within three years and are required to complete at least 18 credit hours of approved courses. Upon approval, students may “step out” of the program due to work commitments or other extenuating circumstances.
Upon completion of the approved courses, students receive a Certificate of Completion for the University of Vermont’s Continuing Education.
