Continuing Education | your doorway to academic excellence
Learn about the business of presenting the performing arts. Students will develop an understanding of the Music Presenting business through study of organizations on a local level (VSO, Lane Series, Flynn), and national (Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Brooklyn Academy of Music, CalArts) including structure, jobs available, types of venues and institutions. Students will be able to compare their current field of study and interests and how it fits specifically into roles/jobs available in this field. Develop a plan for further study and internships, how to begin to gain experience in the field, and develop an industry specific resume and cover letter samples to highlight your own interests and skills that would help you get into this meaningful area of bringing live performance to the public.
