Early Childhood Pre K-3: Expl Prof Early Childhood Ed

The field of early childhood education is diverse and dynamic, typically covering the ages of birth - 8. This 1 credit online course will explore early childhood philosophical perspectives and pedagogical approaches, and guide the student through a personal exploration of career opportunities, goal setting and resume building. Students will: ~ examine their educational beliefs through the construction of a philosophy statement; ~ research the profession and career opportunities in the state of Vermont, nationally and internationally; ~ construct career goals ~ develop an action plan and timeline ~ write a resume and explore job searching strategies
