Continuing Education | your doorway to academic excellence
This one-credit winter session course will introduce students to the roles, structures, and unique practices of nonprofit organizations. We'll briefly explore how and why the third sector developed, get a solid understanding of what makes nonprofits different from other organizations, then dive into some of the most contemporary questions about the field. Students will have the opportunity to dig deeply in an organization that interests them in order to apply classroom learning. *Students who are interested in a career in the nonprofit field are also encouraged to enroll in CDAE 095:Careers in the Nonprofit Sector' which will support students in exploring and preparing for career opportunities in the nonprofit sector.
