This course will introduce concepts and fundamental knowledge about preparing for a professional business plan for your dream venture, utilizing intensive data search, hands on activities, and interactive presentations. Topics include industry and market research, marketing strategies, financial analysis, human resource management, legal issues, intellectual property protection, product development, consumer relationship, and risk analysis.

Non-CEN majors only; Winter Session on campus course; Jan 2-6, 2013; 9:00AM-5:00PM; Open to both CE and degree students Pre-course assignments will be sent to students starting on Dec 18. Students are expected to read assigned materials and complete pre-course assignments. Each reading material and pre-course assignment will have a clear deadline for students to complete and submit to the instructor by the due date via email. The pre-course materials will help students to review information with respect to business planning and analysis, which will facilitate our week-long working progress.
