Course provides 1) an introduction to healthcare technology, the environment of care, patient safety, and related regulations; 2) an overview of the human body, engineering and information technology concepts; and 3) education on bedside medical devices including physiological monitors for adult, neonate and fetal assessment, defibrillators, pacemakers, infusion devices, and ventilators. For each device, the principles, application, patient safety, common problems/solutions, quality assurance, maintenance, and management topics are covered; 100% ONLINE - no books required
