Exploratory data analysis, probability distributions, confidence intervals, hypothesis testing, regression and ANOVA. There are several components to participating with the material and in the class. First you will have an online homework component (Course Compass). Second, you will have in class quizzes and exams. And finally, you will have a group project, where you will design a study, collect and analyze data, write a report and present your results. The textbook is "Intro Stats" by DeVeaux, Velleman & Bock (3rd Edition). And an access code to Course Compass on http://pearsonmylabandmastering.com . The code to MyStatlab will give you access to the e-book.
You will be expected to complete all homework (online and textbook), be prepared for and take quizzes and exams, and complete a group statistics project.
The grade is based upon homework (10%), quizzes (20%), the project (10%) and the exams (60%).
