This class is designed for advanced junior, senior or graduate students to learn more complex tools and applications in EXCEL system. The course start with reviews of theories related to economics theories, time series analysis, trend analysis, historical data mining, statistics, accounting foundations and financial statements. Applications in EXCEL will focus on examining economic variables, financial variables, and business variables that will facilitate learning given various economic situations, business financial situations, personal finance and management, market volatility, risk analysis and decision-making. People who are interested in or work in the following areas will benefit from this course: large dataset management (such as People Soft), economics trend analysis and forecasting, personal finance management, enterprise finance management, futures modeling, and other data management related issues.
