Continuing Education | your doorway to academic excellence
This course is designed to provide the participants with knowledge and skills to design, implement and evaluate quality instruction for students with severe disabilities, including autism, within general education setting. Students will assess and create goals and objectives for one student, and design specialized instructional plans to implement in inclusive settings. Students will conduct an in-depth functional assessment, design effective specialized instructional strategies, and implement specialized instruction within a functional, relevant, meaningful and age appropriate framework. The emphasis of this course will be on utilizing the Collaborative Team Process to promote the achievement of educational performance outcomes within inclusive settings.
